A collaborative approach to treat liver disease that significantly improves the quality and delivery of services to liver patients and their families.

Hepatitis and Liver Disease

In recent years, our providers have seen a dramatic increase in the number of patients with hepatitis, fatty liver and other liver diseases. In response to the need for a specialized approach to liver disease, MNGI Digestive Health created the Hepatology Clinic which is available at most locations. The Hepatology Clinic uses a collaborative approach to treat liver disease that significantly improves the quality and delivery of services to liver patients and their families. In addition to our own team of board-certified gastroenterologists, the providers at MNGI Digestive Health collaborate with specialists from Virginia Piper Cancer Institute, Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota liver transplant programs. Additional services offered in conjunction with the Hepatology Clinic include FibroScan and nutritional/dietary education.

Research

Because we regularly collaborate in clinical research studies with affiliated academic institutions, our patients have access to new therapies and treatments, many of which are free of charge to eligible participants. MNGI research staff is based at the Northeast and Plymouth Clinic locations to facilitate enrollment for patients who might benefit from participation in clinical research studies when conventional therapies fail.
