After Dr. Spencer graduated from fellowship she worked as a gastroenterologist at a private GI practice just outside of NYC for 2 years. After which, she worked as the sole gastroenterologist at St Croix Regional Medical Center, a rural critical access hospital in St Croix Falls, WI, from 2018- 2023. She also served as Medical Director of medical subspecialties there. She started working with MNGI Digestive Health in 2023.
