Love Your Gut

Celebrating Valentine’s Day every year is a great way to show the people in our life how much we care.

However, caring for ourselves is the first step in being able to show others love, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a great first step! The latest ‘self-care’ trends stress the importance of prioritizing mental and physical health by checking in with yourself and making sure you are getting what your body needs to be the best version of you.

Our gut health is one of the best indicators of our overall wellbeing- have you checked in with your gut lately?

If things are feeling off, MNGI Digestive Health has some tips to get you back on track in time to spread some love to the important people in your life.

  • One of the most significant factors in determining gut health is our mind. Working on finding time to relax and de-stress is a great way to ease your gut and release unwanted tension.
  • Consuming a variety of foods that contain naturally occurring fiber is essential. Foods like berries, oatmeal, beans, nuts and seeds, spinach, avocado, artichoke, whole grains, and more. Be sure to drink plenty of water with these foods if they aren’t typically part of your diet.
  • Expand your diet! Restriction isn’t great for your gut, so adding a variety of nutritious options will allow your gut biome to thrive.
