Matt Vang was very comfortable to talk with about an embarrassing subject. I would recommend him.
Very Good Experience
All plans and follow up was well done
Scheduling was difficult. *Dr. Phalen was completely booked, I was told to call after 12/1 when the month of March (? or April) would open up. When I called after 12/1, a different scheduler told me that there was a delay & there were still no open appointments. THEN I received a text saying to contact the clinic, that my doctor said I should schedule an appointment. But when I called the schedulers weren't sure why I'd received that text & there still weren't appointments available. At that point *Dr. Pico had a cancellation that worked for me though. My experience with MNGI has been really good, but this leaves me concerned I'd never get in for a follow up appointment should I need one.
*Dr. Arora put together a plan and makes sure I agree and understand. They write it out and send me home with it. Great!
My preference was to see *Dr. Rettiq - no appts. available in near term. Saw *Dr. Teagarden and his solution was to just increase dosage of Omep. to 80mg/day - w/o knowing the problem. Seems to be a dr. shortage for people in need of treatment in near term.
Getting a summary of the visit and further recommendations printed out to take home is a plus
Very good
Many tests were ordered, and 8 vials of blood were taken during the visit. I was told the results would be available within a few days via the patient portal. The holiday was in here, and I was advised that extra time might be needed. I found a letter in the patient portal 5 days later, which was basically incomprehensible to me. I called the clinic, and learned that the lab had not run several of the tests that were ordered, and I would be updated with results. I am still waiting. This letter was "signed" by the doctor -- I doubt anyone reviewed It before It was sent out, because It didn't make sense and was Incomplete. I thought this provider was very good, but the lab appears to have done a poor job, and the coordination between lab and clinic was poor, in my case.
Understood the plan - just not sure if it was absolutely necessary. My ratings of recommending others to the practice are only limited by my reluctance to share my recommendations with anyone - good or bad.
