Dr. Fine completed her undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She received her medical degree in 1987, from the University of Pittsburgh. Her residency and internship in internal medicine were completed at the University of Pittsburgh, the Presbyterian Hospital and the Veteran's Administration medical Center. For her fellowship, Dr. Fine moved to Minnesota, completing her studies in gastroenterology in 1994.
