Accomplishments
During medical school and residency, Dr. Stern authored multiple publications on quality of life issues in eosinophilic esophagitis and presented her research at international gastrointestinal conferences. During her gastroenterology fellowship, she published articles related to constipation, abdominal pain and irritable bowel syndrome. She also received a training grant from the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society. During her medical training, Dr. Stern received awards for teaching, personal and academic achievement. She taught a problem-based learning course to second year medical students and participated in a departmental quality committee.
