*If you are having a procedure and planning a bus route home, you must have a responsible adult accompany you home after the procedure.
I told the doctor that my health insurance was expiring the end of the year just before we parted, and that I wanted to schedule the endoscopy we agreed on, as soon as I could. He told me basically that a lot of people are in the same boat and that there's no guarantee that this could be done. The nurse that discharged me was not only really sweet but we talked for a second about this and her advice was well received. She told me to literally, as soon as I got in the car, to call scheduling and see what they could do. I did, and I had an appt for the endoscopy, with my chosen doctor, within three weeks. Thanks to her good advice, the procedure will be covered with great insurance benefit,

I wish I could just make my follow up appointment when I leave. It's insane that I can't just stop at the desk and make an appointment. Instead I have to either call or wait for someone to call me.
I don't understand why someone needs to come in to explain the discharge papers...I'm assuming this is to free up the doctor?!

I was lucky to get an appt. within 5 days. Please have appts. available with aPA for people like me. I needed an appt. sooner than 6 weeks out. I took a cancel time slot.
System was down so I have to go to the portal to print it off, which is an extra step for me. I was given a recap of the visit when I left so I had something.
