MNGI Digestive Health is proud to be honored with the 2026 National Achievement Award by the American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (ACS NCCRT) for our Links to Care Program. This award recognizes organizations making a meaningful impact in colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention, screening, and care improving access, reducing disparities, and saving lives.
Colorectal cancer continues to be a serious health concern. In 2026, an estimated 158,850 new cases will be diagnosed, and 55,230 deaths are expected in the U.S., with incidence rising in adults under 65. MNGI’s Links to Care Program is dedicated to preventing and detecting colorectal cancer by offering free colonoscopies to uninsured patients in partnership with 11 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across the Twin Cities.
Since 2016, the program has served 888 patients, removed 431 precancerous polyps, and diagnosed 10 cancers. Colonoscopies include monitored anesthesia care (MAC) sedation, and pathology fees are fully covered if polyps are removed. New in 2026, uninsured patients of screening age no longer need a positive stool test or family history to participate.
“Our team is most proud of the lives saved through this program. Preventing and detecting colorectal cancer is at the heart of everything we do,” said Dr. Kevin Rank, Chief Medical Officer at MNGI Digestive Health.
The ACS NCCRT National Achievement Awards celebrate individuals and organizations committed to reducing colorectal cancer incidence and mortality through leadership, advocacy, and innovative programs. To learn more about ACS NCCRT and the 80% In Every Community initiative, visit https://nccrt.org/
