MNGI Digestive Health’s Woodbury Clinic & Endoscopy Center has implemented four Environ-Mate bodily fluid suction systems to support safe and efficient operations while reducing waste generated at the endoscopy center.
The project was made possible through a BizRecycling Grant from Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy. The program provides grants to businesses, nonprofits, and schools in Ramsey and Washington counties to support waste reduction and operational improvements.
Through the implementation of the Environ-Mate systems, MNGI Digestive Health estimates that the Woodbury Endoscopy Center will reduce approximately 9,600 pounds of plastic container waste and 1,500 pounds of cardboard packaging waste annually, for a total estimated reduction of more than 11,000 pounds of waste each year.
This initiative is part of MNGI Digestive Health’s ongoing efforts to identify opportunities to reduce waste and incorporate more sustainable practices into its operations.
